Pressure Control Valves

PRESSURE CONTROL VALVES
Pressure control valves bring the system pressure to the desired level by means of mechanical, electrical or hydraulic action. Pressure control valves protect the system from damage, loss of power and overheating.

Pressure control valves are available in varieties according to their intended use. There are three types of pressure control valves.
✧ Pressure Relief Valve
✧ Pressure Reducing Valve
✧ Pressure Sequence Valve

PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
It keeps the pressure increase due to any reason in the hydraulic system at a certain level and saves the system from excessive pressure load.

How Does a Pressure Relief Valve Work?
Pressure relief valve consists of poppet, spring, body and adjustment arm. The pressure in the system applies pressure towards the poppet surface in the opening direction of the poppet. In order to balance this pressure, the force is adjusted to the spring located behind the poppet with the help of the adjustment lever. Pressure relief valves do not have indicators. Pressure relief valve adjustment is made with a manometer connected to the pressure line in the system and care is taken to ensure that all flow rates in the system pass through this valve. If there are open-centered valves or valves opening the pump outlet to the tank on the system, the pressure relief valve must be adjusted to cut the connections of these valves to the tank.

PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
In the hydraulic system, it is used when it is desired to adjust the pressure of the fluid that goes to the system through the tank, according to the fluid pressure to be used in the system.

How Does the Pressure Relief Valve Work?
Unlike the safety valves, which keep the pump pressure at the safety level, it affects the outlet pressure of the system. The pressure reducing valve is provided by reducing the pump pressure or keeping the outlet pressure constant by adjusting the value below the main pressure in the system. In this way, it is possible to set a part of the system to a value lower than the system pressure.

PRESSURE SEQUENCE VALVE?
In hydraulic systems, pressure sequence valve is used in cases where more than one hydraulic motor and hydraulic cylinders are required to work at different times and to do different jobs.

How Does the Pressure Sequence Valve Work?
The pressure from the pump is transmitted to the cylinders and the tank, respectively, in a regular manner. It can be in the normally open or closed position and can be used to provide priority hydraulic pressure without any other system being activated.
